I know I say this a lot but I just have to say this again! We have some amazing friends that have really been there for us! As, you get older the saying "Quality vs Quantity" is so true and we definitely have been blessed with some good quality people in our lives! Ok, so enough of the gushing, sappy stuff.... :)
The reason I bring this up is because the hubby's big, bad diesel has been "sick" for going on three weeks now and Pat has been so nice to tow him twice already. The first time, was a flat tow and this last time, which was this Wednesday (Pat's day off). Not only did he have to get his hands dirty he also had to cut his Call of Duty playing time down significantly.... Now, that is sacrifice! haha
Ok, all joking aside, he has helped us out tremendously and we appreciate it so much! It doesn't stop there though, Pat knew that Robby would not be able to get out of work until after 5:00pm so he called a friend who has a big trailer to tow it back to our house. The nicest thing, they did it all while Robby was at work. What awesome friends, huh?!? Well, as payment for their courteous and charitable duties Robby and I have decided to barbeque steaks for them this weekend! I am so excited for this and for my part I am going to make Loaded Mashed Potatoes! yummy!
The author called it “Friend’s Thanksgiving”. The basis is to get-together every year with some friends and try to cook up either a twist on the classics or some new dishes that you wouldn’t ordinarily have seen at a traditional Thanksgiving!
Now, doesn't that just sound like so much fun and a way to get the holiday season started early! I really want to do this! What do you think?
