All packed and ready to go....

Well, the cold weather is officially gone again, to be back at another undisclosed time (fingers crossed- sooner than later). I am not very happy about this, as I was just about to get out my winter closet. Darn it! Why can't I live up North? Somewhere where they actually have a whole season called "Fall" not just a couple of days here and there amidst a bunch of unbearably humid ones?

Anyways, that is a moo point, as this is our home, and I should be used to it by now.

So anyways, I have been thinking a lot about traveling and not just up to the closest big city. I am talking out of Texas :::gasp:::: I know crazy right?!? And if you live in Texas you know that I am not over exaggerating. Texas is huge and I am not just saying that! It takes forever to get out of this place but my heart is so yearning to do so. What I wouldn't give to be able to go somewhere up North where the trees actually turn colors for Autumn. To places where I can wear my absolutely adorable winter clothes and enjoy a latte without getting a lot of weird looks because it's 90 degrees out.

Bottom line is, I desperately need to continue saving. Everything is just so expensive and the only draw-back to my favorite time of year is that I just keep thinking how close the holidays are and that is where all of my money will inevitably go. I have a husband, who I love dearly but his hobbies and interests are just so expensive and a large family that keeps growing with nieces and nephews so much so that I think I may have to take out a loan this Christmas so I do not get "worst Auntie in the world award" this year.
So does somebody want to help me with the "Nash Vacation Fund"??? No....
Ok, so I guess my only option is to just be patient and hopefully we can go somewhere before I need to worry about boarding/stowing  my walker on the plane!

Are any of you planning any vacations for the holidays and if so, where? I would love to get some ideas of places to dream about!

Found out from my lovely BFF Kati that Southwestern Airlines is offering 40% off tickets! The Lord is great isn't he!?! Can you believe it?

 

So I did what anyone in their right mind would do (who just happens to have written a whole post about wanting to get away).....

I bought 2 tickets to Little Rock, Arkansas! That is technically up north right?!? Maybe not the north that I was talking about exactly but who cares at this point... 

 All joking aside though, I am so excited and can't wait to see Miss Kati! When we get together it seems like the rest world stops and it is just us in our own little world! We are a force to be reckoned with and I know that we are going to have so much fun!
