Prayers Needed
I have to be honest, I am feeling a little defeated today. Not the usual cheery, chipper person I normally am. I know I have kind of shared my unhappiness with my job but I am just feeling like lately it is coming to a head.
I just desperately want to like my job, whatever it may be.
The truth is, I knew this job was not the right fit as soon as I started. I noticed that everybody here was miserable in more ways than one and that there was no "team" aspect. They were constantly at each other's throats but I just thought that the pettiness wouldn't affect me. I was wrong! Once the newness wore off, the fangs came out and I had to grow a thick shell real quick. In the process, I feel like I have lost some of my "sparkle and shine". I have worked so hard and have been given more responsibility than ever before only to be constantly told and treated like I am nothing. It has inevitably taken its toll.
Bottom line is, I just want to be happy and I am not afraid of hard work but there has to be some kind of gain or appreciation to feel like it is worth it to continue on. I come to you today knowing that the only thing I can do at this point is to continue to pray about it and I just ask for your prayers as well. I need it more than ever right now.

Fabulously Neutral
I LOVE neutrals and if you looked in my closet you would definitely be able to tell! It is kind of a weakness of mine! I can't tell you how many shades of off-white and ivory cardigans and sweaters I have! The hubby is probably shaking his head because he is thinking of how many times he has asked me "Don't you have a sweater like that?!?" My answer is always "NO!!!! This one is different!" lol
Now, neutrals may not be the best color to flatter my pale skin but I think they are so classy, timeless and chic that I figure I can get away with it! And if not, I don't care! I feel fabulous! lol
And that is all that matters, right?!?
Now, my neutral obsession does not stop in just my closet! One of the best features of white in interior design and decorating is that it creates a blank canvas for more colorful objects like an abundant bouquet of flowers or a pop of color in a throw pillow. It creates a crisp, clean and airy feel and allows you to be as creative with accessories as you want. Your imagination is the limit! Below are some pictures that spoke to me and my neutral fascination.
These looks are just so airy and heavenly aren't they! Yes pleeeaase! Hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday!

Darling Details
Design is in the details. It's the little things in life. Whatever motto you prefer, it's clear there's something to be said for special finishing touches — the fresh flowers, the leopard lining, the unexpected sparkle. I'm finding it's way too easy to get caught up in the everyday stresses. It really is sad to think how much time we waste on worry and stress and how many experiences we miss out on because we're too scared/busy/financially stressed to do them. I know we can't change overnight, but just for today, I am going to stop the stress cycle and simply revel in this cup of coffee I’m sipping before my wide open day. I am going to be thankful that I get to do a job that I may not always like but one that I get to be able to dedicate time everyday to write to you all. I’m going to smile and laugh today. I am going to do whatever I can to make sure everybody around me is happy. I am going to listen and help. I’m going to snuggle with my kitties a little longer and not get mad when they take over the house. I’m going to be patient with myself. I’m going to enjoy every second of my walk tonight with my amazing husband and maybe even do some yoga tonight. I’m going to do what I can and then let the rest go. Instead, I'm going to realize it is way more beneficial to stop and appreciate the little things that make it all worthwhile... The fine details of life. Today I'm going to make it a point to relish those little things... What are you going to appreciate today?

weekend bliss
Hope you guys had a good weekend! This weekend was one of those weekends where you feel like did so much but then you feel like you did nothing at all! IT WAS AWESOME and definitely an answered prayer! Thursday we went to a concert with our favorite "couple friends" and had a really great time! We went to see our favorite singer, Aaron Watson so Robby and I did what we normally don't do.... we danced....(Oh, the poor souls around us)! Yes, we made our way through the crowd and got up to the front and just danced! It was quite romantic!
The rest of the weekend we just relaxed!
And here is a picture of the "love fest" that went on all weekend.
This is Larry, he is our baby and he loves to love on his momma! So adorable right?!? We are really blessed with such lovey babies!
We got to spend time with each other and I was able to make cupcakes for everybody at work! Which by the way was a total success! They were definitely a hit and I think it put everybody in a good mood which was quite nice!
Oh, and Mr. Nash was happy too! He claimed 8 of them as payment for having to help me ice all of them! FYI he ate 2 of them back to back as soon as they were done! lol His sweet tooth is quite impressive! haha He definitely made sure to let me know that they were yummy!
This weekend, in all, was a good one! I feel like I came into work this morning refreshed and ready to take on the first week of school! Yup, kiddos are back so it is official! The 2012-2013 school year has begun... eek!
Tonight, we have tickets to the Hooks game which is the local baseball team here and to make it even more exciting, they are in the playoffs! Here is a picture from the last time we went!
The best part is... it's dollar hot dog and soda night! Can you ask for anything better? lol Well, maybe just my dad being able to be here to enjoy it with us... : (
He moved up north about two weeks ago and it has been hard. I miss him and especially when we go to things like this. It kind of became a ritual for all of us to go to the Hooks game together on Monday nights. I know the hubby and I will still have a good time but I know it won't be the same without his goofy comments and being able to "accidently" smack him while swinging the Hooks fan towel around...*sigh
Here is a picture it is kind of old but it has all of "my boys" in it so it's one of my favs!
Anyways, I hope that everybody had a great weekend as well and let's make it a great week! :)

pinterestingly enough I am in love!
Ugh, I woke up with the non-stop sneezes this morning (which mind you is not a very good way to wake up). Darn allergies! You know, I never had allergies until about a year ago... Still wondering how that happened! But due to the fact that I am not feeling like my normal self, I figured that I would just share some of my favorite pins on Pinterest as of lately! Enjoy and wish me luck that I can last through the rest of the day... : /

~Style Crush- It's Complicated~
Ok so, I am sooooo behind the times. I have only just seen 'It's Complicated'.
Oh and her house in the movie... Dream??? I think so!
Giggles over a glass of pino.... *sigh
Oh...
Such a great movie.
Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, eeek! heaven!
But for me, the real big star.........
Meryl's Style! Wow!
Ever since I saw the movie, I have totally been having a style crush/obsession! I have always thought Meryl Streep was gorgeously classy. In the movie, they gave Meryl Streep an upscale bohemian style. She wore lots of scarves and flowing fabric in lovely muted colors that really flattered her. I, being the avid clothing addict that I am, just wants to tip my hat to whoever was the stylist for this movie because I am in love! So much so that the day after watching the movie, I made it a mission to go out and find a couple of flowy buttoned downs!

Oh...
Wahhhhh! Just too much interior eye candy!!!
