Languages of Love♥

This weekend we went on our road trip to Fulshear and had such a great time! I was able to see my nieces and nephew, Morgan, Zachary and Hannah! All I have to say is, I am worn out and quite sore! Yes, I am fully aware of how sad that is...
The weekend was really nice though and we only had to go to the emergency room once.... My poor niece, Hannah cut her ankle and had to get 8 stitches. She is only 3 years old so having to get 8 stitches tells you how deep it was. She is fine now, thank the good Lord, but the poor baby will not be able to walk on it for a little over a week! 3 years old.... 1 week of no walking, jumping and playing... I do not know how that is going to go... Innovation, imagination and prayers will definitely be needed for her parents as well as MeeMaw and PeePaw who will be watching her this week during the day! ;)

Sunday night, once we got home and settled, the hubby and I watched the Sunday sermon online since we missed it. I was amazed and while his sermons are always amazing this one was so good that I just have to share.

This video is about how to understand your spouse and his/her needs a little bit better and be able to satisy them by learning what matters to them.
FYI, this sermon is on ALL relationships so please do not think that if you are single this does not apply to you. It can give you some insight on how to improve all the relationships in your life, whether it be friends, kids, bosses or co-workers. Everybody speaks a different emotional language and being aware of what language they speak can greatly approve any of those relationships in your life. This sermon series is based on a very popular book that Robby and I actually read a couple of years ago in our bible study group called The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman. Here are the definitions of the 5 Love Languages and since we can't just narrow it down to one... What are your Top 2? What about your spouse or loved one?

Please choose the following statement that is most true of you or your loved one

  • I feel especially loved when people express how grateful they are for me, and for the simple, everyday things I do.
  • I feel especially loved when a person gives me undivided attention and spends time alone with me.
  • I feel especially loved by someone who brings me gifts and other tangible expressions of love.
  • I feel especially loved when someone pitches in to help me, perhaps by running errands or taking on my household chores.
  • I feel especially loved when a person expresses feelings for me through physical contact.
If you are not quite sure or are having trouble narrowing it down to just one you can take the quiz here and this will show you your scores concerning each Love Language. Another great thing about this website is that it is broken down into the different types of relationships to ensure the most accurate results. I would take the assessment first and then watch the video! It is so good! :D Enjoy and let me know what you think!
