Re-newing, Re-viving.... RE-DECORATING???

                                                                   
Do you find that your home is constantly evolving? Or do you decorate once and forget about it? I get these creative energy surges (my husband is cringing at the thought) that I swear are seasonal and SOMETHING must be changed whether it be myself or the house. I am currently content with my hair... AT THE MOMENT... check back with me in about a month or so... lol So, the house makes for the perfect outlet, as it usually does.
Since moving from our first apartment about 4 years ago, where we had only hand me downs and the family throw always (which we are so grateful we got) I have been determined to get our house to our style. Over the years I have slowly but surely accumulated all of our furniture and decorations but now that I have finished I am ready to start over!
Why is that!?! Is it a matter of never being satisfied??? No, I honestly think that I love decorating so much; I love the feeling of taking a blank slate and painting a picture of what you feel home is. I love showing my style throughout my house and making it a place that I instantly feel good in when I enter it! That feeling along with buying a new outfit (but that is a whole other story) is like a natural high for me. And I feel like I have tried postponing the inevitable for as long as I can.
I've been known to play chess with the furniture until I find a new arrangement that suits my liking. I did that too and pretty much every time it ended up back where it started! So now that I have essentially finished, I mean you can only move a couch, end table or vase so many times I want that feeling back (husband cringes AGAIN). I am thinking about starting over.
Right now the style of our house is quite feminine and even though my husband swears he doesn’t mind and actually likes it I am thinking about going for a more mixture of masculine with a small feminine touch. I will have to post  more pictures of the house now and then I will have to post some pictures of what I am envisioning. Hopefully you guys will follow me and come back soon and see what I add but here is one of the living room now:
